Why I Am Offering Retreats
My First Retreat Experience
Many years ago when I was in the midst of a difficult (is there any other kind?) divorce I went on my first retreat. It was a Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon yoga retreat at The Apple Farm with my favorite yoga teacher, Amy Cooper.
Just about every single aspect of the experience was transformative. I was living in a loft in South of Market at the time and spending a weekend in the country with birds, trees, grass and fresh air felt incredible. Though I generally hate being in a car, even driving up with a girlfriend was fun. We stayed in cute little cabins, did yoga twice a day, ate super healthy food (smuggled in caffeine drink making devices) and generally let go of our cares and woes.
2 Days to Renewal
We all drove back to the city feeling renewed. I had no idea how transformative it would be to get out of town and get away from my normal life for even 2 days.
Now years later, I’m in a position to offer these moments of escape and personal transformation to my clients through my Rejuvacation Retreats in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Everyone needs time for themselves and time to break out of their routines.
